From:

Bob Tecktiel
Principal
Solomon Schechter Middle School
Northbrook, Ill.

Dear Lia,

Your letter requesting advice as you approach this very important milestone in your life tells me something about you. It tells me that you are a serious and thoughtful young lady.

You have been given a very special gift by your parents. They have provided you with the means to attain an outstanding Jewish education by electing to send you to the Schechter Schools. My advice to you is to use that gift to become a leader in the Jewish community.

You have the ability and personality to encourage others to derive the joy of being Jewish that you obviously feel. Already you have been elected Secretary of the Sager Middle School Student Council. Your future will offer many opportunities for you to make an impact on the world.

I am confident that you will utilize the special qualities that you possess to be a leader in Kadima, USY in college and in the Jewish community as a whole. The Sager Middle School is indeed blessed to have a person such as yourself as a member of our student body.

Sincerely,

Mr. Tecktiel
