CREATING PAGE TABS IN FP 2000

I have mentioned to a number of people that I've created the equivalent of page tabs, links to open documents in FP 2000. "How did you do that?" I'm asked. Here's how.

(This is not necessary in FP2002, which includes this feature by default.)

Invoke the menu below by clicking TOOLS | CUSTOMIZE | COMMANDS, then select the COMMANDS tab, and select WINDOW.

Drag from the COMMANDS list up to the top menu bar, next to HELP. (Actually you could drag to any part of any of the menu bars.)

Do this repeatedly and you’ll have “Page 1,” etc. at the top menu bar.

When you have a web open, the actual names of the pages display in the menu bar, and to make matters even easier, FP assigns them a number that you can use when typing shortcuts.
